Within a 10-meter detection range, the LiDAR Range Finder can cast up to 43,200 ranging points. When compared to phase detection autofocus (PDAF), the LiDAR Focusing System on the Ronin 4D can focus faster without sacrificing image quality or relying on the subject's surface texture. When compared to other cinema cameras, this is especially useful in low-light situations and results in exceptional focusing capabilities.
Autofocus
Within a 10-meter detection range, the LiDAR Range Finder can cast up to 43,200 ranging points. When compared to phase detection autofocus (PDAF), the LiDAR Focusing System on the Ronin 4D can focus faster without sacrificing image quality or relying on the subject's surface texture. When compared to other cinema cameras, this is especially useful in low-light situations and results in exceptional focusing capabilities.
Automated Manual Focus
Automated Manual Focus (AMF) mode [9] gives you the accuracy and flexibility of manual focus with the convenience of autofocus. The focus wheel will rotate in sync as the focus point changes, but cinematographers can take manual control at any point. The focus wheel on the right hand grip even features dynamic damping with electromagnetic technology. This gives cinematographers a physical sense of focus changes, providing a more intuitive and modern focusing experience that is unrivaled in the industry today.
The DJI Ronin 4D adds a Z-axis to the traditional 3-axis gimbal, effectively reducing vertical camera shake and providing stabilization comparable to a dolly. A downward ToF sensor, forward and downward dual-visual sensors, a built-in IMU and barometer, and an advanced new algorithm work together to bring overall stabilization to a whole new level. Complex camera movements that were previously impossible to achieve are now possible thanks to this compact body's powerful stabilization capabilities.
The X9 is compatible with a variety of lens mounts, including DJI's own DL mount as well as third-party mounts like the Leica M. The X9 is compatible with ultra-wide, f/0.95 large-aperture, electronic zoom, macro, and anamorphic lenses that are compatible with traditional cinema cameras increasing versatility.
Three compact full-frame prime lenses are supported by the X9's standard DL mount. Each lens weighs only 180 g thanks to the housings' lightweight, monocoque carbon fiber construction. In the future, more DJI lenses will be available.
Thanks to an internal motorized system, the X9 boasts 9-stop built-in high-quality ND filters (ND 2 to ND 512, or ND 0.3 to ND 2.7) that can be swapped fast and effortlessly. These filters were also created to complement and match Ronin 4D's color science.
ActiveTrack Pro combines DJI's patented computer vision, deep learning technology, and CineCore 3.0's strong computational capability to provide cinema-standard tracking shots in just one take. This technology also enables for tracking of subjects from a greater distance, as well as composition adjustments and continuous autofocusing to keep subjects in focus during tracking photos.
The Ronin 4D is equipped with DJI's brand-new O3 Pro Video Transmission technology, which provides a 20,000-foot transmission range that would be impossible to achieve with existing methods. It supports the DFS frequency band, as well as an AES 256-bit encryption technique, and can concurrently broadcast a 1080p/60fps FHD feed to many remote monitors with greatly improved security, stability, and anti-interference capability. Dedicated modules mounted to the X9 can enable wireless lens control and even autofocusing, whether you're using manual or autofocus lenses. It also has wireless gimbal control and a variety of mounting options for a variety of shooting situations.
