A NEW TWIST ON THE CLASSIC

1s UNLOCK - START FILMING IMMEDIATELY

QUICKER VERTICAL SWITCH

The DJI RS 4 Mini features auto axis locks, a functionality previously available only on DJI's flagship gimbals. These locks automatically unlock when powered on and lock when powered off or in sleep mode, significantly speeding up filming, transitioning, and storage. The storage design has also been improved, with the axis arms folding flatter for better space efficiency. Thanks to the automated axis locks, the gimbal can be quickly stored with the press of a button. This makes it easy to pack into a bag for hassle-free portability.

The RS 4 Mini provides the quickest transition between horizontal and vertical shooting in the RS series. [3] To switch to vertical mode, simply loosen and press the single-side knob, remove the gimbal's horizontal plate, rotate it 90°, and reattach it—all in under 10 seconds. This allows you to shoot vertical videos instantly, ideal for mobile viewing, so your audience can enjoy your content even faster.

THREEFOLD EASE FOR BALANCING

Struggling to balance your camera during setup? The RS 4 Mini has been upgraded with Teflon™ interlayers [4], previously featured on DJI's flagship gimbals, to reduce friction and make balancing smoother. The new fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis allows you to adjust the camera’s position forward or backward for precise, millimeter-level balancing. The upper quick-release plate includes three positioning slots, giving you flexibility to select the optimal installation position based on your camera and providing more space for balancing. Additionally, when you need to remove and reattach the camera it helps maintain memory for quick repositioning without affecting the balance.

MADE FOR CAMERAS AND SMARTPHONES

Weighing just a few pounds, the RS 4 Mini boasts a 2 kg (4.4 lbs) payload capacity. It easily supports setups like the Sony A7 series mirrorless camera paired with a 24-70 mm F2.8 GM II lens, as well as vlog cameras such as the Sony ZV series. Even with additional accessories like DJI Mic series microphones [5] and fill lights, it ensures smooth, stable camera movements. [6] Further still, you can easily switch to using a smartphone stabilizer with the new Phone Holder [7], providing versatile performance that adapts effortlessly to various shooting scenarios.

WIRELESS RECORDING AND ZOOM

After Bluetooth pairing [6], you can control the start/stop of your camera or phone’s recording directly from the gimbal’s record button, eliminating the need for a cable release. The new zoom control function allows you to adjust Power Zoom for PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom effortlessly by pushing the joystick, making one-handed operation effortless. Once paired, the camera reconnects automatically and seamlessly for future use.

UI UPGRADES

The touchscreen now presents icons more clearly and operates more smoothly. New gimbal status indicators have been added, and when customizing settings, you can fine-tune values directly with the front dial. The screen also has an auto-lock feature. Once locked, it shows the current gimbal and joystick modes at a lower brightness, preventing accidental touches while conserving battery life.

NEW BRIEFCASE HANDLE

We've created a next-gen briefcase handle [8] specifically for the RS 4 Mini, reducing its size by around 20% [9] and its weight by approximately 12% [9]. This makes low-angle handheld filming even easier and more comfortable.

FOLLOW SHOTS BECOME A WALK IN THE PARK

Introducing the DJI RS Intelligent Tracking Module [7], a new universal accessory for the RS 4 series. It helps novice videographers with intelligent follow-filming and composition [10], ensuring the subject stays consistently within frame. This feature is especially useful for orbit shots, backward tracking, and solo filming when tracking yourself from a fixed camera position. The module supports tracking up to 10 meters and works effectively even in complex scenes, like multi-person settings. If the subject temporarily leaves the frame, the gimbal can quickly reacquire and follow them again. [11]

1s START/STOP TRACKING

With a single press of the trigger, you can quickly lock onto your subject and begin or stop intelligent tracking, effortlessly following your star performer. Alternatively, by opening your palm towards the tracking module, it will detect you as the subject within one second and start or stop tracking, making it ideal for selfies and vlogs.

RESPONSIVE AND SMOOTH MODES

The new Responsive mode allows the gimbal to react more quickly to hand movements when starting and stopping, making it perfect for fast orbit shots. It also features DJI's classic Smooth follow mode, offering smooth gimbal movement, ideal for standard follow shots or parallel tracking. By adjusting different follow modes and speeds, you can craft a variety of dynamic narratives.

ROBUST 4TH-GEN STABILIZATION

The RS 4 Mini is equipped with the upgraded 4th-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm. It results in a perfect balance between strong stabilization and natural camera movement, ensuring top-notch performance and an enhanced user experience. It also offers significantly better stability during vertical shooting, effortlessly stabilizing dynamic shots like running or low-angle perspectives. Additionally, the gimbal is designed to be compatible with a wide range of cameras, automatically adjusting motor strength to fit various shooting conditions.

FASTER CHARGING, LONGER OPERATING TIME

The charging speed and battery life have been improved by 30% [12] compared to the previous generation. With a maximum operating time of 13 hours [13], it offers plenty of power for full-day filming. It also supports fast charging, providing 5 hours [13] of use with just a 30-minute charge.

Weighing just 890 g (2 lbs), the RS 4 Mini has a payload capacity of up to 2 kg (4.4 lbs). It's strong enough to support a wide variety of popular mirrorless cameras and lens setups while delivering powerful performance. [6] It can handle a Sony A7 series camera with a 24-70 mm F2.8 GM II lens and a DJI Mic series microphone receiver. [5] Equipped with high-torque motors, the RS 4 Mini ensures stable shooting even when zooming to maximum focal lengths with the follow combinations, without requiring rebalancing.
