Customizable Obstacle Sensing

Users can enable or disable horizontal, upward, and downward obstacle sensing independently, and manually set an obstacle alert range to fit different scenarios.

DCCS - DJI CINEMA COLOUR SYSTEM

DJI's Cinema Color System builds on the company's established color science and technology to ensure that the X9-8K Air captures authentic colors that elevate the visual appeal of aerial cinematography. The system maintains color accuracy in various environments and lighting conditions, including natural settings and urban landscapes. It also accurately captures skin tones. The result is effortless color matching between the X9-8K Air and DJI's ground-based cinema cameras such as the Ronin 4D, providing consistent color style from air to ground. MULTI-CAMERA TIMECODE SYNC

The 3.5mm port on the aircraft enables timecode synchronization between equipment in the air and on the ground, streamlining the editing process and increasing efficiency when dealing with large amounts of footage from multiple cameras.


O3 Pro Video Transmission and Control System


The O3 Pro is DJI's latest cinema-grade video transmission system that provides remarkable performance for the Inspire 3. With a maximum transmission distance of 15 km in single control mode and 12 km in dual-control mode, O3 Pro offers a significant leap in transmission distance, latency, and overall stability when compared to the Inspire 2's Lightbridge video transmission system. Both the gimbal camera and FPV camera support 1080p/60fps live feeds with an ultra-low latency of 90 ms. The system also introduces a new feature by supporting 4K/30fps live feeds with a maximum transmission distance of 5 km, perfect for UHD monitoring and livestreaming on set.

DJI RC Plus

The Inspire 3 drone comes with a remote controller called the DJI RC Plus, which is designed for professional use. It has a built-in 7-inch screen with a brightness of 1,200 nits, making it ideal for outdoor use in bright conditions. The controller also has several buttons and dials on the front, back, and top, which enable fast and intuitive operation. Users can customize the button functions to suit their preferences for a smoother operating experience.

The built-in battery of the RC Plus provides approximately 3.3 hours of operating time, but this can be extended to 6 hours with an external WB37 battery. Battery hot-swapping is also supported to improve creative efficiency.

Independent Links for Dual Control

The dual-control system of Inspire 3 has been improved significantly from its predecessor. Both remote controllers can receive live feeds and control the drone independently, allowing the pilot and gimbal operator to be positioned in different locations on set. This removes the constraints of the primary and secondary control links, as was the case with Inspire 2.
Moreover, in case the pilot loses connection with the aircraft, the gimbal operator can now take control of the drone to return it safely to home or land directly.

 


Dual Battery System and new charging hub

Inspire 3 features the latest TB51 dual-battery system that incorporates advanced battery chemistry technology to enhance reliability and performance. These batteries are smaller, lighter, and higher voltage than the previous TB50 batteries, resulting in a maximum flight time of 28 minutes. The new battery release mechanism enables hot-swapping, allowing for uninterrupted operation. Additionally, if the temperature drops below 10°C (64°F), the batteries activate an auto-heating function to maintain optimal flight performance, even in frigid locations with temperatures as low as -20°C (-4°F).

The brand-new collapsible battery charging hub achieves the perfect balance between charging speed and storage size. It has a capacity of eight batteries and can charge two batteries up to 90% in only 35 minutes and all eight batteries to 100% in just 160 minutes when using Fast mode. Moreover, it includes a 65W USB-C port, which can be used to charge an RC Plus.


DJI PROSSD 1TB

The DJI PROSSD 1TB included in the package offers a maximum read speed of 900Mbps. You can easily read the footage on your computer by connecting it through the provided USB-C to USB-C cable without requiring a separate card reader.


STORAGE

The redesigned trolley case comes with four wheels that can move in 360 degrees, two side handles, and an extendable handle, making transportation and transitions easy. For added safety, two numbered locks are equipped. The well-designed trolley case can store various items such as one aircraft, one X9-8K Air gimbal camera, two RC Plus remote controllers, four lenses, twelve batteries, two battery charging hubs, three sets of propellers, and other items.
