SAFE OPERATION WITH OBSTACLE DETECTION
The Obstacle Sensing Module [4] for Matrice 4D/4TD integrates rotating LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar technologies to achieve precise 12mm wire-level obstacle avoidance at speeds up to 15 m/s in complex power line crossings. It also enhances positioning in low-light conditions [5], ensuring operational safety across diverse environments in power distribution networks and the intricate layouts of substations. [15]
Low-Light Environments
Matrice 4D Series drones are equipped with four high-resolution, low-light fisheye lenses, greatly enhancing [11] visual low-light positioning and obstacle sensing capabilities. The new Night Scene mode offers full-color night vision. Additionally, Matrice 4TD includes an IR-Cut Filter for black-and-white night vision and 24/7 operations, along with a new NIR auxiliary light that can illuminate distances up to 100 meters. The Matrice 4D Series can operate with the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise remote controller for standalone use and features an innovative onboard relay function. In this setup, one drone flies high as a relay, enabling another drone to operate at a greater distance.
