DJI Matrice 350 with Zenmuse H20N in flight

ZENMUSE H20N | VISION BEYOND DARKNESS

With a combination of durability, performance, and advanced payloads, the DJI Matrice 300 RTK has set the standard for enterprise drones. The Zenmuse H20, a hybrid multi-sensor solution for industrial applications and public safety missions, was released in 2020. Soon after, the Zenmuse H20T, Zenmuse L1, and Zenmuse P1 arrived. The Zenmuse H20N, DJI's most recent payload, is a hybrid thermal, zoom, laser rangefinder, and Starlight sensor that provides powerful aerial insights regardless of weather or time of day.

Low Light Performance

In comparison to standard cameras, starlight sensors have a wider aperture and a slower shutter speed. In low-light situations, this allows more light to reach the sensor, resulting in improved clarity. The sensor is used in conjunction with algorithms that reduce image noise and improve image quality.

On the H20N and the Matrice 300 RTK, the Starlight sensor is found in both the Zoom and Wide cameras. When the payload is used in Night mode, the camera adjusts the ISP parameters and switches the lens' IR filter.

Operators can detect light sources as low as 0.0001 Lux, far beyond what the human eye can see, thanks to an intelligent low-light enhancement algorithm.

Dual Thermal Sensors|infrared zoom

The H20N includes dual thermal sensors to relay detailed infrared data, which complements the new Starlight capability. Two fixed lens 640x512 thermal cameras, one with a 2x zoom and the other with an 8x zoom, eliminate the need for continuous zoom.

You don't have to descend the M300 RTK dangerously low altitudes to examine some hot pixels on your screen any longer. You can simply zoom in to see if the source of heat is a person, a dog, or something else entirely. This advancement extends the observation range of the H20N's thermal imaging capabilities, saving pilots valuable time at a time when every second counts.

Synchronized Split-screen Zoom

When the H20N's hybrid sensors are used in tandem, they are most effective. Operators can improve visibility in difficult conditions by zooming in on a split-screen with both the thermal and visual sensors at the same time.

Having this flexibility at your fingertips when using the M300 is critical in low-light situations and when certainty is required before making operational decisions.

Laser Rangefinder|Pinpoint

Laser Rangefinder on the Zenmuse H20N

The Laser Rangefinder from the Zenmuse H20 and H20T payloads is carried over to the H20N. The rangefinder provides precise coordinates of a location or object to an accuracy of +/- 1 metre, with a detection range of 3-1200m.

Because of the PinPoint feature, this capability is always available. After a quick tap, DJI's advanced sensor fusion algorithms deliver an object's GPS coordinates, as well as its distance from the aircraft and relative height.

HI-RES GRID PHOTO

In wide camera view, frame an area of interest, and the zoom camera will automatically capture a set of 20 MP images of the area. These images are saved alongside an overview image that can be examined in greater detail.

When processing your data the photos will be saved together with an overview for greater detail.

Smart Track

SmartTrack Feature DJI Matrice 350 Zenmuse h20N

Easily identify and mark moving objects withe the all Smart Track feature. The dynamic location of the subject can then be streamed to another controller or to DJI FlightHub.

One-tap Panorama

Capture 360 degree Panorama with the Zenmuse H20N with just a single click.

Durability | IP44 rating

The H20N payload was built to withstand extreme weather just like the DJI M300 and support public safety and security missions. It has an IP44 rating and can withstand temperatures between -20 and 50 degrees Celsius. Drones are becoming increasingly important tools for emergency responders and inspection crews, so payloads must be tough enough to withstand whatever the elements throw at them.

thermal imaging features

Colour Palettes: Depending on the mission requirements, change the colours applied to the thermal data.

Isotherms: To emphasise your targets, visualise a specific band of temperatures.

Temperature Alarm: When object temperatures exceed your preset alert values, you'll get instant notifications in DJI Pilot.

Gain Modes: To change the temperature range captured, change the gain modes: Low Gain Mode covers a larger temperature range but is more sensitive to temperature differences; High Gain Mode covers a smaller temperature range but is more sensitive to temperature differences.

R-JPEG Images: The images captured by the Zenmuse H20N are R-JPEG files with temperature information embedded. You can measure temperature and adjust parameters like Emissivity and Reflected Temp by importing these images into the DJI Thermal Analysis Tool.
