Notes

* All data above was gathered in a controlled environment and actual performance may vary. Please visit the official DJI product page for usage settings and recommendations.

  1. 32-bit Float Internal Recording is disabled by default and must be enabled in the DJI Mimo app. While it expands dynamic range, actual performance depends on the microphone’s physical hardware. See the official DJI Mic Mini 2S Specs page for details.
  2. With approximately 14.5GB of built-in storage, the DJI Mic Mini 2S Transmitter can store up to 28 hours of audio using the default 24-bit recording mode. If switching to 32-bit internal recording, it holds up to 22 hours.
  3. Noise Canceling is disabled by default. Enable it via the transmitter button or the DJI Mimo app, where you can also choose the level (Strong or Basic). The receiver syncs this setting across all connected transmitters simultaneously. When connected to devices like the Osmo Pocket 4P, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, or Osmo Action 6 via DJI OsmoAudio Direct Connection, settings can be adjusted directly on the camera interface. Alternatively, the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver switch offers quick toggles (O=Off, L=Low, H=High). Note: If internal recording is set to "Original File," Noise Canceling applies only to the transmitted audio, not the internal file.
  4. Additional transmitters for the 4TX + 1RX setup are sold separately. The Mic Mini 2S supports mixed connections: its Receiver pairs with up to four transmitters (Mic Mini, Mini 2, Mini 2S), while its Transmitter connects to Mic Mini/Mini 2S receivers or the Mobile Receiver. See the Compatibility List on the DJI Mic Mini 2S Downloads page on the official DJI website for details.
  5. The DJI Mic Mini 2S Transmitter connects directly to select DJI devices, supporting up to two transmitters for the Osmo Pocket 4P, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6. Future updates will expand compatibility. For a complete overview, check the OsmoAudio Compatibility List on DJI's official DJI Mic Mini 2S Downloads page.
  6. The DJI Mic Mini 2S Charging Case holds up to two transmitters, two magnetic clips, two magnetic front covers, two magnets, two windscreens, one receiver, one DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver, one 3.5mm TRS camera audio cable, and one mobile phone adapter. Avoid stacking items to prevent damage. Please note that the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver is sold separately and is not included in the standard 2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case combo.
  7. In order to enable four-channel output, additional accessories will need to be purchased separately. The four-channel feature is supported by certainy Sony camera models only (and requires the DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter) and computer software (via USB). For more details, please visit the official compatibility list on DJI's Mic Mini 2S Downloads page.
  8. Voice Tone Preset modes are selected via the DJI Mimo app, which defaults to Regular. Please note that voice tone presets will not apply to the internally recorded file if the file type is set to Original File. However, it will still affect the signal transmitted to the receiver.
  9. With just a 5-minute charge, the transmitter and receiver can both provide up to 1 hour of operating time. This 5-minute charge time was calculated with the transmitters and receiver battery levels below 25% and a charger with 5V output. The operating time was measured during close-range audio recording in interference-free conditions with noise cancelation off and both transmitters connected to the receiver. Additionally, the receiver was connected to a camera with a 3.5mm cable. Data should be taken as reference only, and was collected in a controlled environment.

  11. Adaptive Gain Control is turned off to start, but you can easily set it up using the DJI Mimo app.
  12. The Multi-Color Magnetic Front Cover Set is sold separately. However, if you purchase the DJI Mic Mini 2S (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case) combo, the Obsidian Black and Glaze White covers are already included.
  13. Transmitter weight includes the front cover but excludes the magnetic clip and magnet.
  14. Sold separately.
  15. Both Normal and D-Log color profiles offer up to 14 stops of dynamic range, though this may be reduced in Slow Motion mode.
  16. You can only connect and use one transmitter as your audio input at a time.
  17. When utilizing a direct Bluetooth connection to a mobile device, the transmitter does not interface with native camera applications. Please refer to the DJI Mic Mini 2S official Downloads page for a list of supported third-party applications.
  18. The maximum transmission range depends on your specific setup. You can reach up to 400 m using the DJI Mic Mini 2S Receiver with Mic Mini series transmitters (Mini 2S, Mini 2, or Mini). If using the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver, the range is 300 m when connected to Mic Mini series transmitters (Green Light mode), or 200 m when mixing one Mic Mini series transmitter with a Mic 3 or Mic 2 transmitter (Blue Light mode). These reference distances were measured in open, interference-free environments.
  19. All operating times were measured in an interference-free environment during close-range recording, with two transmitters connected to the receiver, and the receiver connected to a camera via a 3.5mm cable. Under these conditions, with noise cancelation and internal recording disabled, a fully charged charging case provides approximately 40 hours of total operating time, and a single transmitter operates for about 11 hours. The receiver alone has an operating time of approximately 10 hours.
  20. This feature only works when the device is powered on. If you enable auto power-off in the DJI Mimo app, the transmitter and receiver will automatically turn off after 15 minutes without a pairing signal.
  21. If auto power-off is enabled and internal recording is disabled, the transmitter and receiver will automatically turn off after being disconnected for 15 minutes.
  22. When using the DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter, the receiver may power down if the camera is not actively recording or goes into playback mode. It will not automatically turn back on. This behavior varies by camera manufacturer, so please refer to your specific setup.
  23. Phones with Lightning ports cannot power the receiver directly. To charge and use the device simultaneously, you must separately purchase the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver Adapter (USB-C to Lightning).
  24. Not included in all combos; sold separately.
  25. You can set the noise cancelation to Strong or Basic using the DJI Mimo app. Alternatively, if you are using a compatible DJI OsmoAudio device, you can adjust it directly on the product's interface. Check the official DJI Mic Mini 2 product page for more details.
  26. Noise cancelation is off by default. You can turn it on and choose between Strong or Basic levels using the receiver, the DJI Mimo app, or directly on a device connected via the OsmoAudio ecosystem. Visit the official DJI Mic 3 product page for more details.
  27. You can choose your Voice Tone Preset mode in the DJI Mimo app, which is set to Regular by default. Keep in mind that this feature won't work if your transmitter is connected directly to a phone via Bluetooth.
  28. You can choose your Voice Tone Preset mode using either the receiver or the DJI Mimo app. The default setting is Regular.
  29. Check the FAQ page on the official DJI Mic 3 website for details about supported timecode modes, frame rates, and output formats.
  30. You can connect up to two transmitters simultaneously for mixed connections on both receivers. The DJI Mic Mini Receiver works with Mic Mini, Mic Mini 2, and Mic Mini 2S transmitters. The DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver supports all of those, plus the Mic 2 and Mic 3 transmitters. For a complete breakdown, refer to the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver Cross-Model Compatibility List on the DJI Mic Mini 2 Downloads page.
  31. Configuring a 4TX + 8RX setup requires the separate purchase of supplementary accessories.
  32. Operating times were tested in a controlled environment, so your actual battery life may vary based on your surroundings, usage habits, and firmware version. The 48-hour total operating time was measured using a fully charged case (2 TX + 1 RX setup) with noise cancelation off. This test was conducted during close-range recording in an open, interference-free area, with both transmitters connected to the receiver and the receiver plugged into a camera via a 3.5mm TRS audio cable.
  33. The operating times for the transmitter, receiver, and the 28-hour total with a fully charged case were all measured under the same conditions. These tests were conducted during close-range recording in an interference-free environment using the DJI Mic 3 (2 TX + 1 RX) setup, with noise cancelation and internal recording turned off, both transmitters connected to the receiver, and the receiver connected to a camera via a 3.5mm audio cable.
  34. Internal recordings default to saving as an Edited File, which includes algorithm-based enhancements like voice tone presets, low cut, noise cancellation, and adaptive gain control. You can also choose to save an Original File instead. To change this setting when the transmitter is directly connected to a smartphone or DJI OsmoAudio device, use that device's screen. If your receiver is connected to a smartphone, use the DJI Mimo app to adjust the format.
  35. The Auto Recording with Receiver functionality is exclusively compatible with the DJI Mic Mini 2S Receiver.
