Capturing smooth, stable and cinematic footage just got easier than ever thanks to DJI's new Osmo Mobile 3. Just announced by DJI, the Osmo Mobile 3 is the latest product released in DJI's celebrated Osmo series. Smaller, lighter, and able to fold down to half its size, the Osmo Mobile 3 incorporates thoughtful design and DJI's advanced technology to create the ultimate single-handed gimbal system.
The Osmo Mobile 3 has been redesigned to be as portable and lightweight as possible so that creators can comfortably hold the unit for longer periods of time. Thanks to its new foldable design and locking mechanisms, the Osmo Mobile 3 is the most transport-friendly Osmo to date. Weighing just 405 grams, its lightweight design and 15° angled ergonomic handle with a rubber grip will ensure that users can shoot footage all-day long.
The Osmo Mobile 3's improved design makes it extremely easy to use with one hand. Now, users can conveniently access important controls thanks to the easy to reach placement of the buttons on the handle. With a comfortably placed trigger button, users can easily start tracking a subject, switch between their front or back camera, and change gimbal modes. Operators also no longer have to control the gimbal and modes strictly through their smartphone touchscreen. Everything from accessing the Quick Menu to footage playback can be accessed using the buttons located on the central part of the handle grip.

A 3-axis stabilized gimbal with brushless motors provides real-time, smooth responses to movement to eliminate any potential camera shake. The Osmo Mobile 3 also supports smartphones that are up to 9.5mm thick and 62-88mm wide. This range will cover most popular smartphones on the market.
The Osmo Mobile 3 features 15 hours of battery life and takes about 2.5 hours to complete a full charge. The unit features a built-in battery that cannot be swapped out. Users can charge the device through the Type-C USB charging port on the right side of the handle and the Osmo Mobile 3 can also be used to charge other devices via its USB port.
The Osmo Mobile 3 features various intelligent shooting modes so that creators can easily shoot dynamic compositions. With the Osmo Mobile 3, anyone can capture stunning footage with just the tap of a button.
With Gesture Control, the Osmo Mobile 3 eliminates the hassle of finding someone to take your group photo. In this mode, users can take selfies with a simple wave or even "peace sign" to begin a photo countdown.
The Osmo Mobile 3 also features the new and improved ActiveTrack 3.0. ActiveTrack 3.0 incorporates deep learning and computer vision algorithms to produce DJI's most reliable and advanced tracking technology to date. With ActiveTrack 3.0 users can now record fast-moving objects with more ease and control.
Another new mode introduced with the Osmo Mobile 3 is called Sports Mode. Algorithms have been optimized in Sports Mode to allow for increased response to speed. In this mode, the Osmo Mobile 3 can easily keep up with fast-moving scenes so that operators never miss a moment. On the other hand, the unit also features 4x or 8x Slow Motion to slow down the moments around you.
After capturing the shot, users can then share their footage easily with Story Mode. Story Mode features preset templates that help transform footage in seconds by adding effects, music, and movement. Users can select various templates to customize their videos, then directly share it onto their preferred social media platform.
Shooting Panoramas or Timelapse videos has never been easier with the Osmo Mobile 3. The Timelapse effect is perfect for capturing moments in time, while Panorama will shoot a wide shot of any stunning moment. The Osmo Mobile 3 also features MotionLapse mode to add dynamic elements of movement to footage, as well as HyperLapse which will take the visuals of Timelapse and add movement by manually moving the Osmo Mobile 3.
The Osmo Mobile 3 offers creators an affordable, portable, and foldable gimbal system that is easy-to-use for anyone of any level, whether you are a videographer, vlogger, or casual user. With its ergonomic design, various shooting modes, durable hardware, and advanced software the Osmo Mobile 3 will help anyone transform their mobile device's footage into a cinematic masterpiece.
